Plot twist on the Japanese archipelago: two years ago, the giant of the RPG Square Enix, the former producer of the series Tales of unexpectedly draws its reverence, as the weekly Famitsu unveils today.
A veteran of the J-RPG, Hideo Baba has worked on almost every episode of the Tales of, from Destiny on PlayStation 2 to the recent Zestiria on PlayStation 3, not without producing in the meantime a certain Eternal Sonata.
Started in February 2017 by Square Enix to chair the development studio Istolia, still working on a mysterious Project Prelude Rune, Hideo Baba has already left office, as revealed by Famitsu. Nothing has filtered the reasons for Baba’s departure, while the ambitious RPG for PlayStation 4 must now find a new producer.
Hideo Baba, however, thanked his now ex-employer in a very laconic initial message:
I thank again the Square Enix group for giving me a varied experience. I will continue to support everyone behind the scenes and I sincerely hope that the Square Enix Group will continue to grow.
