Hajime Tabata, director of Final Fantasy XV, unveiled the first project of the new JP Games studio: it is The Pegasus Dream Tour, the official video game of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, developed in collaboration and under license from the International Paralympic Committee (International Paralympic Committee).
The Pegasus Dream Tour will be a sports game with RPG elements coming out in 2020 on various platforms not yet confirmed, including smartphones and tablets. The game was born with the aim of promoting the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, starting at exactly 500 days.
At the moment there are unfortunately no other details, Hajime Tabata said he was “very satisfied with this opportunity that will allow the JP Games team to grow and mature by coming into contact with an extraordinary reality, with the aim of increasing knowledge and contributing to greater diffusion of the Paralympics.“
It is unclear whether The Pegasus Dream Tour will be published by SEGA, the publisher has in fact obtained the official Tokyo 2020 Olympics license and is currently working on four video games dedicated to the event, including Mario & Sonic at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
