A few days after the launch of Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm Studios is back to talk about the microtransactions that will be offered in the game. The data miners, on the other hand, have uncovered information on the future DLC of the fighting game. We proceed with the order.
As we have already had the opportunity to learn in the past, the microtransactions in Mortal Kombat 11 will allow players to purchase aesthetic objects only, which will not provide any advantage in battle. The in-game currency will be represented by the so-called Crystals of time. The interesting thing – which will surely make the community happy – is that all the equipment can also be obtained by playing, during normal progression. Therefore, microtransactions will only speed up its acquisition in exchange for real money.
Analyzing the game code (which is already available at the preload), the data miners have also discovered references to as many as 13 downloadable contents. Their nature is not known, but among them, there could be additional fighters and costumes. To date, the only known additional fighters are Shao Khan, intended for all those who pre-order the game, and Shang Tsung, who will be the first to join the roster via DLC after the launch. In any case, it is worth pointing out that the total number of additional contents has not yet been officially announced by the developers, so we advise you to take this information with pliers. Mortal Kombat 11, we remember, will be launched on April 23rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. The Standard, Premium and Kollector’s editions will be available for purchase at the launch.
