The New Mario Tennis Aces Update Introduces Two Extra Modes

Nintendo today published the Mario Tennis Aces 3.0 update which introduces a new introductory sequence, an extra mode and a special time event entirely dedicated to Yoshi.

The Ring Shot mode will allow up to a maximum of four players to compete in a last-shot battle with the goal of hitting the largest number of rings. Yoshi’s Ring Shot is instead a limited-time mode (active until June 1) designed for the Co-Op, also with this update also debuts the new Opening Video, an introductory sequence completely rebuilt from scratch that also sees the presence of various characters introduced by the launch of the game via DLC, including Pauline, Bowser Jr, and Boom Boomb.

Mario Tennis Aces was launched last summer exclusively on Nintendo Switch, immediately winning a good success with audiences and critics and quickly becoming one of the most popular Switches sold together with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey.
