Interviewed by colleagues from AreaJugones, CD Projekt Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz’s Quest Designer explained that the Cyberpunk 2077 demo shown in August 2018 no longer represents the game currently under development and offers a “very different” vision of the project.
“I would say that the game is very different from what we showed last year, but there are many details we are working on at the moment” , was the comment of the author at the head of the team in charge of shaping the main story, to the secondary missions related to the free-roaming component and Cyberpunk 2077 lore .
According to reports from Tomaszkiewicz, in fact, “we are constantly updating the title and thinking about how to make it more interesting and, well, the demo shown in 2018 was just a small fragment of the current game. There was no clear picture of how the game it would fit into a completely free-roaming gameplay context, so there are still a lot of things we haven’t shown yet, also because there are a lot of things we’re still working on”.
To want to pay attention to the author of CD Projekt, therefore, this “diversity” should be considered by the community in positive terms since the gameplay movie of last year, in his opinion, was not that the pre-alpha version of a title that, at launch, it will offer a significantly higher role, technical and purely playful experience. At this point we just have to wait for the announcement of the release date of Cyberpunk 2077 and find out if the title will arrive “only” on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One or if it will see the light in “enhanced” version also on PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.
The leaders of CD Projekt, in this regard, have already confirmed the presence of Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019: what better occasion than the California videogame festival to announce the date and show us some new gameplay scenes?
