The great experience gained by Respawn Entertainment with multiplayer titles has led many to wonder why the authors of Titanfall and Apex Legends have decided, with Jedi Fallen Order, to make a Star Wars game exclusively singleplayer.
Respawn’s lead author, Aaron Contreras, jumped at the chance offered by Microsoft to clarify, during the last episode of Inside Xbox, the reason for such a choice.
“As we look at Star Wars, there is one thing that people want from a video game centered on the Jedi and this is the story,” explained Contreras adding that the center of gravity of the Jedi Fallen Order narrative plot will be represented by ” battle between light and darkness: ours is a game in which we must identify ourselves with the character to fall in love exploring the worlds of the Star Wars galaxy during an incredible adventure, so we felt we could best satisfy this question and allow players to fully immerse themselves in Star Wars only through a single-player title.“
Recently, Chris Avellone also explained that the writing of the title was influenced by Clone Wars and Rebels. But to get a clearer picture of the situation and admire the first Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order game scenes, we will have to wait until June. Meanwhile, we remind those who follow us that the single-player blockbuster of Respawn and EA will be available starting November 15th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
