Despite not being on the crest of the wave as in the months following the launch, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues to generate excellent numbers, with revenues of $ 920 million in 2018.
Of these, 311 million are pure profits for PUBG Corp, a company that manages all aspects related to development, marketing of the game, merchandising and marketing. The most profitable platform is the PC with 790 million dollars, 65 million come from mobile devices while the console editions have generated 58 million dollars, six million instead come from exploitation rights and merchandising.
Asia is currently the country with the highest concentration of PUBG players with 53% of the total and revenues of 487 million dollars coming only from this market. In India in particular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has proved extremely popular, so much so that it has forced local institutions to pass laws to prevent young people from playing at school and in public places, thus trying to reduce the cases of gambling addiction they have recently led to the death of a sixteen-year-old.
