A Donna Burke Tweet dated April 23rd passed, to tell the truth rather unnoticed until today, has rekindled the hopes of fans about the future of the Metal Gear series.
Burke is known for singing the songs Heavens Divide of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and Sins of the Father in Metal Gear Solid V, as well as having lent her voice to iDroid in Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. On Twitter, the artist suggested being at work on a secret project, probably a Metal Gear Solid theme, at least according to the hashtags used, in particular #forfans.
What could it be? Obviously, the fans immediately got wild starting to think of Metal Gear Solid 6 rather than a re-release of the first episodes of the saga, or even an unofficial fan game. Another hypothesis credited is instead the product of a disc with tracks based on Metal Gear.
At the moment all is quiet by Konami, the Japanese company in recent months has announced Metal Gear Solid The Board Game while no further plans are known for the future of the franchise.
