The New Yakuza Could Arrive By March 2020

As Dualshockers reports, Sega Sammy Holdings has published its financial report, which details the company’s results during the last fiscal year. In the appendix of the report, the company revealed that the next major game in the Yakuza series could be published in the current fiscal year, before the end of March 2020.

The next major game of Yakuza will not include Kiryu Kazuma, but a new protagonist called Kasuga Ichiban. Sega revealed a few weeks ago that the game will be launched on PS4. The company is also looking for an actress for one of the female characters. More information on the game together with the selected actress will be revealed in July.

Please note that, in the meantime, Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be released on PC in May. Judgment, a spin-off of the Yakuza series, will be released exclusively on PS4 on June 25th. The game is already available in Japan, although it has been temporarily removed from the Japanese market for a few weeks because one of the actors, Pierre Taki, was the protagonist of a scandal. The game was subsequently marketed again with his character replaced . Sega has also already confirmed that there is no sequel to Judgment.
