The Call of Duty series, despite having often divided fans, has always been one of the cornerstones of modern first-person shooters and has often been characterized by great commercial success. It is in fact one of the most well-known and appreciated products in the sector.
Thanks to Activision, which has released some of its financial data, we can finally get an idea of the numbers of the franchise, given that the publisher said that about 300 million copies were sold among all the titles in the series.
The analyst and insider Daniel Ahmad also spoke about it, who on Twitter summarized the highlights of the Activision meeting with shareholders, revealing that the publisher has in mind to make a Call of Duty Mobile, given the enormous potential that could be hidden behind such a title.
At the moment there is not much information on Call of Duty 2019, the new chapter of the series, which should be presented this quarter. Given that this period will end on June 30, it is likely that we will see something as E3 approaches, if not during E3 2019 itself. Many talks about a substantial campaign mode in the new Call of Duty.
What do you think? Did you expect these numbers from Activision and the saga? What do you want from the new Call of Duty chapter?
