Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age: Digital Foundry Analyzes It On Video On Xbox One And Switch

Digital Foundry’s tireless “video game technician” team decides to dedicate their new video analysis to Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age, the role-playing game of Square Enix recently launched on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.

According to the guys from DF, the new transpositions for current-gen consoles of Final Fantasy XII boast an almost identical graphics compartment, with exceptions represented by the quality of particle effects, shadows and the definition of character and setting textures: to change, logically, are the resolution and the parameters related to the refresh rate of the images on the screen.

On Nintendo Switch, in fact, the title runs at 864p in Docked mode and at 576p in Portable mode, in both cases remaining stable at 30fps. Those who decide to face the JRPG challenges offered by the re-release of Final Fantasy 12 on Xbox One, on the other hand, can get experience in Full-HD (1080p) at 30fps, but with the possibility of reaching 60fps by virtue of the performance boost guaranteed by the hardware of Xbox One X.
