Fortnite: Unified Accounts Merged, Honor Guard Skin Returns

Fortnite Unified Accounts Merged, Honor Guard Skin Returns

While Fortnite Update 9.0 is coming tomorrow, there is already important news on Epic Games ‘ highly popular Battle Royale. First and foremost the Union Account function, officially deactivated by the developers, was eliminated.

This is the possibility of merging two accounts, granted for a period of time by Epic Games because, in the absence of cross-save and cross-play, many users who played on multiple platforms had more than one account available. When Sony decided to make the cross-platform available on PlayStation 4, Epic Games had enabled the option to merge a player’s accounts, merging them into a single profile.

However, this option has been exploited by some attackers, who offered accounts with rare skins to the players who could then merge them into their main accounts, hence the need for a countermove developed by the software house.

The other novelty is the return of the Honor Guard Skin: a skin reserved exclusively for owners of the top-of-the-range smartphone Honor View 20, which was however violated by some hackers who managed to generate skin codes and sell them to users. After several removals by Epic Games, here is yet another attempt to bring it back into play only for those who qualify. Let’s see if this time he will succeed.
