The Digital Market Is Growing for EA, Access Subscribers at 3.5 Million

Despite the problems with Anthem and the desire to introduce a new sales model, Electronic Arts are not at all experiencing a period of crisis and, to prove it, it’s the numbers.

Not only half of the sales on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 were digital and non-boxed products, but a real record of Access service subscribers was achieved. The number of subscribers to Origin Access (PC) and EA Access (Xbox One) has in fact reached a total of 3.5 million. Since EA Access will arrive on PS4 from next July, these numbers are set to increase.

To be very promising is then Apex Legends, which with its 50 million players and growing popularity has allowed the company to estimate revenues of over 300 million dollars during the next fiscal year. The title’s success will also push the company to publish more free-to-play games, as the sales model seems to work very well.

By the way, did you know that on May 4th 12 titles arrived in the Star Wars universe on Origin Access? We also remind you that Anthem is discounted on PS4 for a limited time.
