Nintendo has outlined plans for the E3 2019 video game fair to be held June 11-13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The weekend before the event there will be two competitions in which the best players in the world of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2 will compete.
The proposed activities include the Nintendo Direct presentation, on the evening of Tuesday 11 June and Nintendo Treehouse: Live, live streaming every day from the fair, which includes live play and in-depth analysis of the games featured during E3. Nintendo will have many playable Nintendo Switch games on its stand.
Nintendo at E3 2019
Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Splatoon 2 tournaments
The tournaments of the Super Smash Bros Ultimate World Championship 2019 3v3 and the Splatoon 2 World Championship 2019 will be held Saturday 8 June, with a scheduled start at 20:00 CEST. Both events will feature players from North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia / New Zealand. The races will be streamed live in English on the Nintendo of Europe E3 website 2019. Nintendo will provide further details on these tournaments in the near future.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate
After defeating the French favorites in the final of the European Smash Ball Team Cup on Sunday 5 May, the Germans Ehre will try to defeat the fiercest rivals from all over the world, including the North American teams Wrath, Devonte and Poltergust, in addition to the teams qualified for Japan and Australia / New Zealand. RobinGG of the Ehre team said, “We have nothing to lose. The French Alliance Rogue team of shredders was crowned in March displacing the champions of the continent in charge BlackSquids, who finished second in last year’s world final. The team of Sorin, Kiver, Erza, and Gray hope to be better than their German rivals and to win the title of world number one, ahead of teams such as the reigning world champions GGBoyz from Japan, FTWIN from North America, and the Lime Soda of the Australia / New Zealand. The event will be held on June 8th.
Nintendo Direct E3 2019
The presentation will be held at 18:00 CEST on June 11th. The presentation, which focuses entirely on the software, will take a look at the games being launched in 2019. Viewers will be able to watch it in their own language on the Nintendo of Europe E3 2019 website.
Nintendo Treehouse: Live
The live stream, hosted by Nintendo of America’s Treehouse staff from the Nintendo E3 stand, makes its comeback to give viewers an in-depth view of some selected titles, with comments from those who know the game better. Viewers will be able to watch the live streaming in English on the Nintendo of Europe E3 website 2019. Further details on Nintendo Treehouse: Live will be announced shortly.
E3 2019 will start at 20:00 CEST on 8 June with competitions featuring the best Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2 players from around the world, including the German Ehre team and the French champions of Splatoon2, Alliance Rogue.
