The developers of Two Point Hospital, Two Point Studios, are now part of the SEGA family. The company itself announced it, announcing the acquisition, and has now taken the small studio under its wing.
The move is part of the Sega Europe Searchlight program, an internal initiative that aims to identify new talent and new opportunities to create IP.
“It’s a key step for Two Point Studios and we’re excited to be joining the SEGA family,” said studio co-founder Mark Webley. “We look forward to carrying out the next phase of our plans and continuing to evolve the studio. It is really exciting to be part of Two Point and if we are here today it is thanks to the hard work, passion, and dedication of our little but talented group here in Farnham and our fans who supported and guided us during the development of Two point Hospital. “
Even SEGA (which in the meantime seems to be working on a new Super Monkey Ball ) said it was very happy with the acquisition, while at the moment the study is already working on several titles still unannounced, which will be revealed in the coming months.
