In conjunction with the streaming event dedicated to Monster Hunter World, Capcom showed the new Iceborne monsters on video after publishing the release trailer for this release on PS4 and Xbox One during the PlayStation State of Play.
In the video overview commented by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and executive director Kaname Fujioka, the authors of Monster Hunter World offered all hunters of the iconic Capcom roleplaying an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the attack patterns of new creatures that dominate the unpublished game region of Iceborne.
As per tradition for this blockbuster of the Japanese videogame production, also this time the monsters we will meet during our digital hunting expeditions will be perfectly at ease in the biome of their region and will take advantage of the scenario to get the better of the users who try to catch them or shoot them down.
In addition to the return of old acquaintances like Remobra and Popo, the Capcom video preview gives us the very first scenes of Velkhana gameplay, an Elder Dragon with mighty ice wings, and several other monsters, including Nargacuga from Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. The increased lethality of these creatures made it necessary for the developers to introduce a new series of animations and attacks for their alter-ego and its inseparable feline companion: in fact, a new skill that will allow him to revive the player after a lethal attack by the turn giant.
The marketing of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will take place on September 6 this year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The arrival on Steam of the PC version, however, does not yet have an official release date: the launch window shown to us by the team directed by Tsujimoto turns out to be the “next Winter”, that is between the end of this year and the first months of next one.
