Marvel The Great Alliance 3: The Black Order was presented with a first trailer for The Game Awards 2018: the return of the franchise and its exclusivity for Nintendo Switch surprised a good part of the videogame community.
To explain the reasons for this choice, Marvel Games and Nintendo have recently intervened personally, through the words of two exceptional personalities. During a coverage dedicated to the game, Game Informer was able to talk to Bill Trinen, of the great N, and Mike Jones, vice president and executive producer of Marvel Games. Both offered interesting comments on the decision to bring the saga back to life on Nintendo Switch.
In this regard, Jones said: ” We have great respect for this franchise. We knew it was very important for many people. But we also knew that after ten years without a new chapter, it would not be enough to simply make a sequel. This is predictable, and we needed something unexpected. So, over the past few years, we’ve been searching for what this could be. And then one day we found our answer. “The vice president of Marvel Games points out that once you understand the nature of Nintendo Switch, it became clear to the team that the console would be the next step for the Great Alliance. For its part, Trinen confirmed that both sides had an interest in the return of the videogame saga and pointed out that the Marvel content was perfect for the hybrid console, due to the multiplayer focus and the versatility of the platform.
