Over the night between Thursday 9 and Friday 10 May, Capcom presented a large number of news for active hunters within the Monster Hunter World universe.
During the State of Play, in fact, the first trailer of Iceborne was shown, a new expansion of the game, which will allow hunters to venture into an area characterized by winter atmospheres. Through a message entrusted to the official PlayStation Blog, Ryozo Tsujimoto, a producer at Capcom, shared various information on this additional content. First of all, the name of the new setting was confirmed: inside Iceborne, hunters will explore Hoarfrost Reach.
Defined as a glacial area characterized by a ” ruthless ecosystem “, this new region is home to a wide variety of creatures. Among the monsters present, the Banbaro and the Beotodus are expressly mentioned, as well as the infamous Nargacuga. Special attention also seems to be given to Velkhana, defined as ” an ancient ice dragon”. Within the message, Tsujimoto reveals that this very creature will be the centerpiece of the Iceborne story. In closing, the producer Capcom also confirmed that new information on the expansion will be shared on the occasion of E3 2019, at the beginning of which is now less than a month away.
THE’expansion Iceborne will be an extended content and its console debut is currently expected for September 6th.
