The Last of Us 2: Naughty Dog Is Looking for Staff to Complete Their Development

The high spheres of Naughty Dog, in the person of co-director Anthony Newman, set out to find the staff to be employed in the final development phase of the mammoth project of The Last of Us Part 2 for PS4.

The professional figures sought by the leaders of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s California subsidiary are many and touch every aspect of the videogame production of a modern triple blockbuster A.

Among the new job positions opened by the historical authors of the Uncharted, Jack and Daxter and Crash Bandicoot series we mention Multiplayer Server Programmer, Narrative Designer, Level Lighting Artist, Gameplay Programmer, Level Environment Designer, Interactive Cinematic Animator, Melee Animator, and Environment Artist. In total, recruitment is provided for seven animators, two game designers, six programmers, a lighting and special effects expert, a UI analyst and an administrator with coordination duties.

Many of these tasks will be part-time but most of them will be full time, a detail that could suggest Naughty Dog’s willingness to support The Last of Us 2 with a rich post-launch content plan that, presumably, will include updates free and paid expansions.

According to the same Newman, on the other hand, the new talents who will join the Santa Monica software house will have to “help us complete the development of this game” , a phrase that can only reinforce the rumors that they would like The Last of Us 2 released in 2019, strictly exclusive to PlayStation 4.
