At the last meeting with shareholders, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick also talked about Red Dead Online, the multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2, available in beta since last November.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has reached 24 million copies distributed since its launch and Red Dead Online also seems to have met the publisher’s expectations, although precise numbers regarding active players have not been released. Zelnick says that ” the game will be released by Beta by the end of this quarter ” and of course ” new content for Red Dead Online is planned in the future”.
At the moment we have no other information on this, the current quarter will end on June 30th so we can expect the exit from the Beta phase between late spring and early summer. No details even on the next contents, the CEO of Take-Two has limited himself to confirming that the latter is under development and that the project will be adequately supported.
In recent months, Rockstar Games has updated Red Dead Online several times with new modes, timed events, weapons and more, as well as fixing bugs and technical problems.
