The Trine series is about to return: the Frozenbyte action platform has always been appreciated for the art direction and the puzzles the series offered, and Trine 4 seems to be no exception. The same developers talked about it in a behind-the-scenes video.
In the first two releases, the game offered graphics and environments in 2.5D, while in the third it came to the actual three-dimensional graphics, which represented both an economic and design challenge for the studio.
Trine 4 instead sees the return to the roots of the saga, to give a retro flavor to the game, which first-time fans should particularly like. Together with Trine 4, the studio is also working on the game’s Ultimate Collection, which will contain all four titles in the series, an excellent opportunity for those who haven’t played them, to recover them.
In the video, which you find in the opening of news, the team defines the game as ” the most complete Trine ever “, and it seems that the work to make it better than the Trine 3 that left a bitter taste in the mouth to the fans, was effective. What do you think?
Trine 4 will arrive this fall on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
