In the presentation of the latest financial results, the Square Enix top management published a document that illustrates the video games that the company intends to market during the current fiscal year, that is until March 2020.
As rightly pointed out by the colleagues of WCCFtech, in the document there does not seem to be any reference to the launch window of two blockbusters expected by all fans of role-playing games and action adventure, namely Final Fantasy 7 and The Avengers Project.
To underline the absence of the Remake of the 1997 masterpiece and of the new epic linked to the Marvel Avengers in development at Crystal Dynamics digital forges (with the precious contribution of Eidos Montreal) from the programs of the Japanese videogame giant for the coming months, c ‘ it is also the graph that shows Square Enix shareholders the sales forecasts starting from March 31st 2020.
The latter, in fact, appear to be lower than in 2019, a detail that has not gone unnoticed among the employees in the sector and which confirms, albeit indirectly, the will of the Japanese publisher to postpone the release, or in any case to foresee a launch in the course next year. Should they prove true, these indications would shift the marketing of the two titles to the next fiscal year, that is to say in the period between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021.
Even the recent rumors rebounded on the net assumed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake would be released in 2020, strictly in an episodic format.
