According to some rumors apparently coming from a source close to Electronic Arts, Anthem could soon be included in the EA Access library, with the aim of increasing the number of active players. The addition to the catalog could take place in July, simultaneously with the debut of the service on PlayStation 4.
It also seems that the publisher is not rejecting the hypothesis of distributing Anthem as free to play, a solution that may become necessary if the situation does not improve after the arrival of new content and the addition to the EA Access lineup.
Electronic Arts and BioWare have no intention of abandoning Anthem and are continuing to work to produce new content, but it seems that the leaders of the two companies are worried about the negative comments on the game, which would have ended up damaging sales.
According to the same source, Anthem should have reached 3.7 million copies sold since its launch, a much lower number than the 5/6 million units expected by the publisher, who stated at the last meeting with shareholders that the game does not have complied with the initial sales forecasts.
At the moment nothing of what has been reported has been confirmed, so we invite you to take the whole thing with the necessary precautions waiting for news on the matter.
