On the basis of the rumors fueled by the statements of analyst David Gibson, the top management of Microsoft and the higher levels of Nintendo would now be about to forge an alliance for cloud gaming based on the use of Microsoft Azure technology infrastructures.
According to the analyst, the terms of the partnership that could soon be signed by Microsoft and Nintendo should take on contours that are not too distant from those outlined by the recent, historic marriage between Sony and Microsoft that will allow the Japanese giant to share technologies, infrastructures, and knowledge with the Redmond house to design the future of cloud gaming and artificial intelligence.
According to information in Gibson’s possession, in fact, the alliance for cloud gaming between Sony and Microsoft would force Nintendo to agree with Microsoft to use Azure in view of the future launch of a new gaming streaming platform on Switch on major Asian, North American and European videogame markets.
But also Nintendo itself is looking also to work with MSFT (Azure) to offer its own streaming service in limited regions (JP, US etc).
