The TV series Il Trono di Spade has officially ended and George RR Martin comes out with a post on its official blog, in which it states among other things to “have worked as a consultant for a video game“.
Specifically, the writer reports some of his recent activities, including (I quote verbatim) ” I’ve consulted on a video game out of Japan “. Gematsu has contacted a source apparently very close to From Software (a company never mentioned by Martin in his post) which confirmed that the project exists and is known by the code name GR (an acronym whose meaning is not known).
The game has been in development for over three years, the source talks about an Open World product and the possibility of riding horses is mentioned. The project resulting from the collaboration between Hidetaka Miyazaki and George RR Martin will be published by Bandai Namco, the reveal is set for E3 2019 during the Microsoft conference, similar to what happened last year for Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, also from From Software.
At the moment, however, nothing has been confirmed and therefore we invite you to take what you have reported with due precautions, pending confirmations or denials.
