Capcom published Resident Evil Remastered, Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Switch and Digital Foundry took the opportunity to propose the usual technical analysis of the three games in question.
Resident Evil 4 in particular runs at 900p in Dock mode and 600p in portable mode, with a 60 fps framerate not always stable, with crashes in the most agitated situations. Resident Evil Remastered and Resident Evil Zero run at 30 fps (the resolution is not clear) with frequent slowdowns and higher loading times compared to the original versions, especially when the CPU is called to load from zero new areas to visit.
A job that appears to be only discreet but not exceptional for these three classic Capcoms, which debut on Nintendo Switch with porting that is not too accurate from a technical point of view. In any case, Digital Foundry emphasizes, the spirit of the original productions is not affected and the three games remain very enjoyable even on Nintendo’s hybrid console, especially in portable mode.
