The Final Fantasy XIV Online community continues to grow as Square Enix announces that the game has exceeded 16 million users worldwide. This figure marks a new record for the MMORPG just before the release of the third Shadowbringers expansion, arriving on July 2nd.
During the live, the producer and director Naoki Yoshida also revealed some new details regarding the new expansion:
- Changes in the combat system, including changes to role actions
- Updates to the FATE system, secondary missions and trade missions
- Changes to work synergies and balancing of the same
- Various improvements and interface updates
The Shadowbringers trailer for trades shares was also published, showing updates and new skills for all trades. In addition, you can download the official Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers benchmark software.
The benchmark software includes new images of Shadowbringers as well as the character creation editor that allows players to see how the character appears in the game, including the new Hrothgar and Viera races. Users who create characters using the benchmark will be able to import them into the full game.
