Pokémon Sword and Shield: The Winner of the Uniqlo Contest Is Disqualified

It seems that the competition created by Uniqlo in collaboration with Nintendo did not go very well and the winner will not see his t-shirt in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

The design of the t-shirt, which had Magikarp as its protagonists and its Gyrados evolution, caused the disqualification of the artist Li Wen Pei because it was already used in the past to customize some smartphone covers. The competition rules require that the drawings made have never been used before and, consequently, the shirt will not arrive in the highly anticipated title for Nintendo Switch. At the moment it does not seem that the company is willing to select a new winner, so it is unlikely that the artist who won the second position will see his own design in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

We remind you that during the next month new details will arrive on Pokémon Sword and Shield thanks to the June issue of the Japanese magazine CoroCoro Ichiban. It was also confirmed the possibility to customize the Spada and Scudo coaches with numerous accessories and clothing items, among which there should also have been the winner of the Uniqlo contest.
