In the last hours, a new rumor has spread on the net linked to the new chapter of the profitable and long-lived Call of Duty franchise, currently being worked on at the Infinity War studios.
According to what we learn from the latest rumors, supported moreover by the usual Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty Modern Warfare will be the official name of the new iteration, and will in fact represent a soft reboot of the sub-series shooter that in the last generation has received a resounding success starting from COD 4, passing then to Modern Warfare 2 and 3.
According to Twitter revealed by LongSensation, who first circulated new rumors about the game’s name, Activision is preparing an official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare set for Thursday, May 30th. It seems therefore that the publisher is not interested in presenting the title during the upcoming E3 in Los Angeles, but prefers, as he has accustomed us in the last few years, to reserve an event of his own for the shooter series.
While we are still waiting to be able to admire the return of Modern Warfare in action, further indiscreet voices have anticipated how in 2020 Call of Duty Black Ops 5 will see the light, developed as usual by Treyarch’s guys.
Reveal is May 30th. #ModernWarfare
