After years spent in Early Access on PC, and two months after the official publication on Xbox One, Bohemia Interactive’s DayZ finally found its way to PlayStation 4. The survival game will be released on Sony’s home console on May 29th! The announcement was made through the US PlayStation Blog.
In DayZ, the former Soviet country Chernarus was struck by an unknown virus that infected humans, turning them into frantic zombies. The survivors, for their part, have developed a hostile mentality. Your task, therefore, will be to survive at all costs in a collapsing world. No game videos or screenshots of the PlayStation 4 version have been published yet, but luckily we won’t have to wait long to see it in action.
DayZ is an authentic and ruthless online open-world sandbox video game, in which servers can host up to 60 players simultaneously. No suggestions, bailouts and extra lives are provided. If you fail, you will lose everything and be forced to start all over again. You will have to move in the game world in search of resources to try to survive for as long as possible. The dangers will not only come from the infected but also and above all from the other players: not everyone is inclined to make friends and move in groups.
