Overwatch: McCree Received a Small but Significant Boost on the PTR

Overwatch: McCree Received a Small but Significant Boost on the Ptr

As we promptly reported yesterday, Overwatch received a new update on the Public Test Region (PTR) which introduced the long-awaited Replay feature. The patch, however, has not been limited to this alone and has also introduced balances for some heroes.

One of the most significant, who is not failing to discuss the community, has interested McCree. The skillful gunslinger, a professional striker, saw the recovery time of his primary firing decrease from 0.5 seconds to 0.4 seconds. Simply put, the firing rate of his revolver has increased. Since it is only a tenth of a second, the difference may seem trivial. In reality, for a character like McCree who can inflict a great deal of damage, it means a lot. As you can see in the GIF attached below, the cowboy shoots faster: the DPS is therefore passed from 140 to 175without recharging, and from 93 to 108 also taking into account recharging. If the change were to pass the test phase and reach the public servers, McCree could become even more popular.

The patch also intervened on other heroes: the range of action of the D.Va Defense Matrix was lowered from 15 to 10 meters, while Baptiste’s Biotic Thrower saw the number of shots increase from 10 to 12. The duration of the ultimate of the French healer, Amplification Matrix, has also been increased from 8 seconds to 10 seconds. Orisa can now launch the barrier even while reloading the weapon, while the radius of interaction with the Symmetra Teleport is increased from 1 meter to 1.5 meters. Finally, the damage to pellets from the Torbjorn nail gun was decreased from 12.5 to 10.

What do you think of all these changes? We reiterate once again that they are available, for the moment, only on PTR for PC.
