Based on rumors gathered by PlayStation Lifestyle colleagues, Gearbox Software’s top management intends to announce a new Borderlands 2 expansion during mid-June E3 2019.
The DLC in question, according to the anonymous deep throat called by the editors of PSL, would help to bridge the narrative gap between the epilogue of Borderlands 2 and the introduction of the next, highly anticipated chapter of the looter shooter.
The expansion should concern only the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the title: the release of the additional content, always in a purely theoretical line, should take place just in coincidence with the announcement, therefore during the E3 2019 that will take place from the 11 to 14 June in that of Los Angeles. The DLC could offer some important advances on the Children of the Vault, as well as on the fate of the Crypt Hunters: always through this expansion we could understand why Gearbox has decided to call Sanctuary 3 the new hub of Borderlands 3, since in Borderlands 2 and in the Pre-Sequel there is no setting or city called Sanctuary 2 .
Borderlands 2, on the other hand, still turns out to be one of the most played titles on Steam and on consoles, where moreover it is destined to become part of the PS4 Instant Game Collection with the June PS Plus games . The probability of the announcement of a new expansion, therefore, does not seem to be so remote. And you, what do you think about it? Would you be willing to buy a Borderlands 2 DLC while waiting for Borderlands 3 landing in stores on September 13 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One?
