COD Modern Warfare Will Have Classic Multiplayer, Free Coop Missions, Cross-Play and DLC

Only a few hours have passed since the official Call of Duty Modern Warfare announcement and a lot of information on the game has already arrived on the web, including the first details on the additional content and the methods included at launch.

Inside the package, you will find not only the classic multiplayer, or the set of modes that made the series famous throughout the world, but also a series of Elite Operations which, just like in the old chapters of Modern Warfare, will allow players to face cooperative missions at various difficulty levels.

To represent instead a point of a break with the past is the total absence of Season Pass and the like. All the additional contents of Call of Duty Modern Warfare will be free for all players and therefore the usual divisions in the community between “standard users” and owners of additional maps will not be created. At the moment it is still unclear which methods Activision intends to monetize and support the development of new content, but it is likely that we will see a strong presence of costumes and other customizations for the avatar. The absence of a seasonal pass could also be an indication of the absence of exclusive time content, as seen on PS4 with Black Ops 4.

Another interesting novelty is the support for cross-play, thanks to which PC players, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can play together without any limit. At the moment we do not know all the details on this feature, but it is unlikely that cross-buy will be added to the cross-play and, above all, that it is possible to switch from one platform to another while maintaining progress.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare will arrive on the shelves of all stores starting October 25, 2019, in the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (Battle.net) versions.
