Hideo Kojima recently made it official on his Twitter profile that the two characters inspired by Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn, Deadman and Heartman, will be limited to having only the features of the two directors.
In the tweet, the good Kojima declares that the development team has scanned the bodies of the two characters and captured some facial expressions, but the dubbing and the actual motion capture phases have been entrusted to actors whose name has not yet been announced. Still to be clarified is the importance that Deadman and Heartman will have within the intricate plot of the game since both filmmakers figure as a “special guest”, so it could very well be marginal figures that will do just a few appearances. Del Toro and Refn are just two of the characters present in the game to whom they will lend voice and movements to the famous actors and, among these, we find Norman Reedus (Sam), Mads Mikkelsen (Cliff), Lea Seydoux (Fragile) and Margaret Qualley (Mama).
Waiting to find out more information on Hideo Kojima’s latest work, we remind you that the title will arrive on the shelves of all stores on November 8, 2019, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
I asked my bestie, Nicolas, to be “HEARTMAN” in DS as special guest. We 3D scanned his head, body, and facial expressions to make his 3D model, but his acting and voice are done by a different performer, same as with Guillermo. ?????☔️ pic.twitter.com/wOGt0LfX89
