It’s been a while since we last heard of Digimon Survive, a survival RPG dedicated to the famous monsters in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch and expected later this year.
Before revealing new information and showing other gameplay videos, however, Bandai Namco Entertainment preferred to take a small step back in time by posting a behind-the-scenes interview with producers Kazumasa Habu and Katsuaki Tzuzuki. The two have retraced the recent history of the franchise, talking about the development and expansion on the market of the Digimon World and Digimon Story series, up to the conception of the ideas underlying the new Digimon Survive. You can watch the video, at the bottom of this news. Good vision!
Digimon Survive, born to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the anime, will offer a new adventure with characters created by Uichi Ukumo and a soundtrack composed by Tomoki Miyoshi. The title will feature a new group of teenagers led by Takuma Momozuka, who during a school-organized camp will lose themselves and then find themselves in a strange and new world populated by monsters and fraught with dangers. The decisions of the players will influence the rest of the story, while the battles will be fought in 2D in the classic SRPG style.
