COD Modern Warfare: Cross-Play Matchmaking Will Take Into Account the Control System

One of the most interesting innovations among those that accompanied the announcement of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is without a doubt the presence of cross-platform multiplayer. But how will matchmaking work for users who use a controller and the faithful to the mouse + keyboard combo?

To reveal the details are the same developers, who spoke of the presence of a system of matching players online that closely resembles what was seen in Fortnite Battaglia Reale. The system will, therefore, tend to find games in which all players use your own control system. The only exception is mixed parties, ie cases in which a console player using a pad is added to the team of a PC user who uses a mouse and keyboard. In the latter case, just like in Fortnite, matchmaking will be less rigid and you may encounter players using any control device.

At this point, it remains to be clarified whether the game supports mouse and keyboard also on consoles, in particular on PlayStation 4, since on Xbox One it is possible to use this kind of devices for several months, as long as the game supports it.

We remind you that the game will arrive on the shelves of all stores starting October 25 on the following platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (exclusively on Battle.net). Did you know that the COD Modern Warfare announcement trailer has exceeded 20 million views? On the official website, it is also possible to take a look at the first Modern Warfare cosmetic DLCs.
