The YouTuber ChampChong (over 900,000 subscribers to its channel) has released a video dedicated to the upcoming Rockstar blockbuster, trying to make some assumptions about the announcement and subsequent launch of GTA 6.
In particular, YouTuber points out that six years have now passed since the launch of Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online, the longest time ever between two series releases, which exceeds the four years between the launch of GTA San Andreas (2004) and GTA IV (2004).
It is true that in this time frame Rockstar Games has continued to support GTA Online and has worked on Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online, however according to ChampChong the time could be ripe to release a teaser trailer in 2019.
Taking the case of GTA V as an example, the first teaser was shown in autumn 2011 while the game only hit the shelves in September 2013. For GTA 6 Rockstar could follow a similar procedure, spreading the teaser this fall and launching the game in 2021 or 2022, as many rumours about a project intended (also?) for PS5 and Xbox Scarlett would like.
