After months of rumours and speculation, Elden Ring, the new project directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and made by the now highly respected developers of FromSoftware, was officially announced during the Microsoft conference at E3 2019.
By publishing a teaser trailer that in some ways recalled the atmospheres and the methods chosen to present Dark Souls 3, the Japanese software house let the public catch a glimpse of the first, dark environments that will be the backdrop for this new hardcore adventure. The rumours that suggested a new dark fantasy world inhabited by monstrous creatures and decadent landscapes seem to be fully reflected in the gallery of images that we have reported at the bottom of the news, directly extracted from the trailer for the presentation of the game.
Hidetaka Miyazaki provided the first concrete details on Elden Ring revealing how, despite the criticisms raised for the difficulty of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, also this new title developed in collaboration with George RR Martin(who moreover is dead) will test our gamer abilities with new fearsome bosses. Compared to Sekiro, however, Elden Ring will return to characterize the gaming experience with strong role-playing elements, and will also represent FromSoftware’s first attempt to create a map close to the open world genre.
Elden Ring is expected to launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, currently on a date still unknown. Did you like the debut trailer of the new action-RPG from FromSoftware?
