Dark Souls: The Entire Series Reaches 25 Million Copies Sold

A few hours after the official announcement of Elden Ring, the new and highly anticipated action RPG developed in collaboration with George RR Martin, From Software announced that the Dark Souls series has reached an incredible milestone in terms of sales.

There are more than 25 million copies sold of each episode, also considering the most recent Dark Souls Remastered, which brought the first and much loved chapter on the consoles of the current generation and on Nintendo Switch. This figure includes all physical and digital sales on all platforms, including Steam.

Although Miyazaki does not seem willing to develop a fourth episode of the series, the Japanese software house is now concentrating all its forces on Elden Ring which, according to what is declared, is From Software’s largest and most ambitious project. The game will in fact be characterized by an open and fully explorable world as well as by the roleplaying mechanics that have characterized Dark Souls.
