Watch Dogs: Legion Will Support Directx Raytracing on PC, Thanks to NVIDIA

NVIDIA GeForce RTX will be the official graphics platform of Watch Dogs Legion, the new title of the saga shown during Ubisoft’s E3 conference. This was announced by Ubisoft and NVIDIA, which confirmed that the game will use real-time ray tracing and other advanced gaming technologies.

“Ubisoft does its utmost to best recreate the cities in their games and ray tracing will add unprecedented depth to the look and feel of the London-based atmosphere of Watch Dogs: Legion,” said Matt Wuebbling of NVIDIA , who added that the company is ready to surprise PC gamers with the use of ray tracing done in this last chapter of the saga.

The ray-tracing is a graphical technique that is used to make ultra-realistic effects to movies, and NVIDIA GeForce GPU RTX contain core specifically designed to accelerate this effect, in order to display the visual effects in real-time games.

“The futuristic London of Watch Dogs: Legion comes to life with vitality and realism that can only be achieved with ray tracing,” said Chris Early of Ubisoft.
