Anyone who wants to enjoy the sparkling neon lights and the spectacular graphics of Cyberpunk 2077 will be able to do so from day one, thanks to the agreement reached between CD Projekt RED and Nvidia, which will guarantee the game full support for ray tracing since its launch.
The futuristic new game by The Witcher authors will be able to count on the Turing architecture and Core Tensor of Nvidia RTX 20 series graphics cards to have a more realistic and accurate lighting system, and thus joins titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Wolfenstein Youngblood and Watch Dogs Legion.
While the stock pool that supports ray tracing at the moment still seems relatively small, it is a technology that is becoming increasingly popular, so that other companies have also announced that their graphics engines (including Unreal and Unity, for example) they will support it in the future.
Among them, therefore, there is also CD Projekt RED and, considering how important the neon lights present in the game seem to be, but also the colorful graffiti, the lights and so on, the look of Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be even more memorable than expected. Good news for those who have already pre-ordered the game, and there are many since Cyberpunk 2077 is already first in the charts on Steam and GOG.
The menu will also be designed specifically to facilitate Nvidia’s settings, such as the Ambient Occlusion, the level of ray tracing and so on, and there may be further additions to the game’s release, scheduled for April 16th, 2020.
