The Last of Us Celebrates Its Sixth Anniversary: Naughty Dog Thanks the Fans
It was the now rather distant June 14, 2013, and The Last of Us, a new IP developed by the talented Naughty Dog team, made its debut on the video game shelves.
The production accompanied Sony’s then flagship console during its last months before it’s market heir’s debut, PlayStation 4. The Last of Us debuted on PlayStation 3, but the success of the game, received with enthusiasm both from the public and from the specialized critics, it would have allowed him to land, about a year later, also on PS4.
To remember today that moment is the whole Naughty Dog team, which through its official Twitter account has published a special message to celebrate the anniversary of the game. As you can see below, we read: “The Last of Us was first published exactly six years ago from today. To all those who played it and to the fans who continue to share their love and passion for play with us: thank you! You motivate us and inspire us every day“.
The success of the new IP meant that Naughty Dog decided to offer a follow up to the events of Ellie and Joel. The audience of enthusiasts is in fact now anxiously awaiting the new creature from Naughty Dog, whose release date is still the subject of rumour. The development team, in May of this year, was looking for staff to complete the development of The Last of Us Part 2.
