Many thought it impossible, but eventually CD Projekt RED and the guys at Saber Interactive found the motion to convert The Witcher 3 to Nintendo Switch. The title appears rather resized from a technical point of view, but at the launch will include the full experience, 16 DLCs and the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions.
We have already proposed a comparison with the PlayStation 4 version. Today it is instead the turn of a comparison with the PC version with all the details set to the minimum possible value, to the 720p resolution and with the 30fps block. It emerged that The Witcher 3 for Nintendo Switch can do better than the counterpart used in this analysis on more than one occasion: at the beginning of the video, for example, you can see a greater viewing distance, while in the following scenes the depth of field is also used to enrich the cutscenes. The textures of Geralt’s polygonal model, on the other hand, appear a little less defined on Nintendo Switch: it is particularly noticeable from 0:25 onwards when Strigo is shown wearing the armor of the Viper.
Evaluate yourself by watching the video at the beginning of the news. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Nintendo Switch, we recall, will run at 720p resolution in docked mode and 540p in mobility, and will be fully included in a 32GB cartridge. The release is scheduled for 2019, on a date not yet specified.
