Niantic Labs, the team author of Pokemon GO, announced the release date of Harry Potter Wizards Unite, the company’s new project created in collaboration with Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.
Harry Potter Wizards Unite will be available on iOS and Android worldwide from Friday 21 June 2019, downloadable for free with in-app purchase support, the same business model used for Pokemon GO, one of the most successful mobile apps ever with hundreds of millions of downloads from 2016 to date.
“Created by the developers of Pokémon GO, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is the augmented reality (AR) game inspired by the Wizarding World that puts magic in the hands of players around the world. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is developed and published in collaboration from Niantic, Inc. and WB Games San Francisco as part of Portkey Games, a brand dedicated to the creation of new video games and games for mobile devices that recreate the Wizarding World, draw inspiration from the original stories of JK Rowling and place the player at the center of own adventure.“
Players can now pre-register on Google Play Store so they will be notified as soon as the game is available for download in just over 24 hours.
