In spite of the announced absence of Sony from E3 2019, in the hot days of the Los Angeles fair the alleged leaks linked to the release date of The Last of Us Part 2 continued to crowd the sites and forums of the sector. In this regard, Neil Druckmann, creative director of Naughty Dog, spoke.
From the pages of his official Twitter profile, the man at the head of the ambitious exclusive PS4 project joked about the rumors and consequent requests for information from Ellie’s fans stating that “for your information, whenever someone asks for the launch date (of The Last of Us 2, ed), the game is delayed by another five minutes! ” .
To feed the hopes of the fans for the imminent announcement of the release date of TLOU2 Ashley Johnson thought about it: the actress who lends her face and voice to Ellie’s character has in fact ventilated the hypothesis that the Naughty Dog blockbuster would be released in February 2020, only to retrace its steps explaining that it was a joke.
In light of Druckmann’s latest statements and Johnson’s clarification, it all suggests that The Last of Us Part 2’s commercialization date may be revealed during one of the upcoming PlayStation State of Play.
FYI… every time someone asks for the release date, the game gets pushed back by five minutes. ?
