Final Fantasy 8 Remastered: Harada, Kayano and Nomura Are Also Working on the Project

During the Square Enix conference held at E3 2019, the software house broadcast the first trailer of Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, thus announcing the upcoming return of the iconic JRPG.

After sharing some initial details and screenshots about the project with the public, the production shares some interesting information. In an interview granted to Famitsu, a well-known Japanese magazine, Yoshinori Kitase announced the return of some talents for the realization of this new version of Final Fantasy VIII. The creator of the title, in fact, confirmed that at Remastered they are also collaborating:

  • Hiroshi Harada
  • Tomohiro Kayano
  • Tetsuya Nomura

The first two, in particular, had been responsible for treating, respectively, the fighting and the character design of Final Fantasy VIII, debuted for the first time on the market in 1999, on PlayStation 1 only. During the interview granted to Famitsu, Kitase also announced that Chocobo World will not be present in the remastered version. The objects obtainable through the latter will still be made accessible thanks to skills attributed to a character.

In closing, we remind you that Final Fantasy VIII Remastered does not currently have a precise publication date. However, the game is expected during 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
