During E3 2019, Marvel’s Avengers was officially presented to the public, a new great videogame project inspired by the Avengers of the House of Ideas.
In the days following the Los Angeles fair, further details emerged regarding the production of Crystal Dynamics, which appears as the most ambitious ever produced by the latter. To confirm this, he is the software house manager, Chris Amos, during an interview granted to the Games Industry portal. In fact, he states: “From our point of view, it is the greatest thing we have ever done”. For the development of Marvel’s Avengers, as many as five different teams have joined forces and experience. In addition to the Crystal Dynamics team based at Redwood Shores, a new group called Crystal North West was founded, based in Bellevue. To these are added the Dutch Nixxes, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix Japan.
To develop Marvel’s Avengers, Crystal Dynamics also needed to recruit new talent, including Amos:
- Shaun Escayg: former Naughty Dog (Uncharted, The Last of Us), plays the role of the creative director;
- Dave Fifiels: a game director with experience on IP such as Halo and Call of Duty, collaborates in the creation of the multiplayer sector;
- Vince Napoli: dealing with God of War, he plays the role of lead combat designer;
The videogame project will see gamers venturing not only within the confines of planet Earth.
