The Ape Escape series is preparing to celebrate its twentieth anniversary: the first eponymous game of the franchise has in fact been published for the first time on June 24, 1999, on the first PlayStation.
An important goal, which could bring some new features. To suggest this occurrence was the sighting of a new Twitter account dedicated to IP. As you can verify at the bottom of this news, Sony Japan has opened an Ape Escape theme on the social network. To his credit, the latter counts for now a single twitter, which has however attracted the curiosity of many users. Inside it is possible to read the following message: “Piposaru (Twenty years since then. I have been around for a long time, but I wonder if there is someone out there chasing me …?)”. The term “Piposaru” seems to be a reference to Piposaru 2001, a game of the series available exclusively in Japan. To accompany the Tweet we finally find the image of one of the famous monkeys, intent on hiding behind the trunk of a tree located in a dense forest.
A message certainly curious, which could herald new things coming up for the series. The first rumors about this had already spread in April of this year when the site of the series had been updated rather surprisingly, while in the past there had been hypotheses about a possible debut of Ape Escape 3 on PlayStation 4. Waiting to find out if something actually boils in the pot, what do you think, would you like a return of Ape Escape?
