Pokemon Sword and Shield: Nintendo and Game Freak Patent the Dynamax Cuff

Pokemon Sword and Shield Will Be at the World Hobby Fair, New Details at the End of June

The launch date of Pokemon Sword and Scudo is approaching inexorably and so, Nintendo’s top management and Game Freak developers are preparing for the big event confirming that they have patented one of the most important accessories of their highly anticipated Nintendo Switch video game, namely the Cuff Dynamax.

The patent filed by Game Freak and Nintendo’s Japanese division explicitly refers to the bracelet worn by coaches to transform their Pokemon by exponentially increasing its size (and therefore its attack power) for a short period of time through Dynamax’s new function.

The registered trademark of the Dynamax Cuff includes all exploitation rights on Pokemon’s official merchandising, thus extending to the sale of products such as sports equipment, playing cards, dolls or table games. In this way, the Kyoto house will try to prevent other companies from exploiting the more than likely success of the next Pokemon video game (despite the “criticisms” received on YouTube during E3 ) in an improper way to make money on the sale of gadgets linked to the Dynamax cuff.

Here, the marketing of Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield is scheduled for November 15, strictly exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
