Harry Potter Wizards Unite debuted last Friday in North America and the UK to arrive in other countries yesterday, including Europe and Australia. The game has been highly successful with over 400,000 downloads on the first day, however, the community complains about the lack of functionality seen in Pokemon GO.
This is synchro-adventure, an option that allows you to calculate steps and distance traveled even with the application closed. This feature was introduced in Pokemon GO at the end of 2018 while it is still absent in the Harry Potter Wizards Unite: in other words, the game will keep track of the movements only when it is active and running, while with the application closed these data will not be collected.
It is probable that Niantic Labs did not want to include Sincroavventura in order not to overload the servers at the launch but almost certainly this appreciated functionality will make its debut in the coming weeks. Harry Potter Wizards Unite has just been released and Niantic promises numerous updates on the style of Pokemon GO, so the contents will not be missing, as well as the technical innovations.
